You’d think that with all the obsession on CNN and MSNBC over the Mueller investigation for the last two years that they would have carved themselves a solid ratings niche in this anti-Trump demographic. But you’d be wrong.
Here’s the ratings for AG Barr’s press conference on Thursday morning unveiling the Mueller report. Notice who is at the very bottom:
Facts first. This is CNN: The least watched name in news. Per @TVNewser, out of six nets that covered Barr’s press conf, fewest watched @CNN which came in behind FNC, NBC, ABC, CBS and MSNBC. 2.75 times more preferred Fox News over CNN. https://t.co/6igjMsgiam pic.twitter.com/yZSYlLA88m

Out of 14 million viewers, CNN barely got over one million of them. And MSNBC only did slightly better coming in under two million.
CNN managed to edge out MSNBC in the coveted 25-54 demographic, but that’s not saying much. They were both clearly competing for who could come in dead last in the ratings, but that crown must go to CNN.
But look who is at the top of the pack! I know it’s never really fair to compare cable TV stations to network TV stations, as you can get network TV for free. But that’s apparently not a problem for Fox News, as they were far ahead of everyone in total viewers. They didn’t do as well in the demo, but they still had a very respectable showing with third place behind NBC and ABC.
