The White House removed references to Jerusalem, Israel from its website

I heard about this on Beck’s radio show, that the White House has change any references from ‘Jerusalem, Israel’ to just ‘Jerusalem’ on its website. So I went to check it out and sure enough, I could only find one reference to ‘Jerusalem, Israel’. But I found a ton of results for just ‘Jerusalem’.

The way this started was that yesterday the Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper posted that while the State Department’s policy was that Jerusalem was not part of Israel, the White House had images of Biden meeting with Shimon Peres that noted it occurred in ‘Jerusalem, Israel’. Shortly after he posted that, the White House changed all of their related image captions (and perhaps other references) with the words ‘Jerusalem, Israel’ to just ‘Jerusalem’.

And to prove the point, here’s a video that shows before and after images that prove that this was intentionally changed
(h/t: The Blaze):

While this is infuriating it’s not surprising. We know this administration is anti-Israel as they’ve demonstrated time and time again. And this is just one more problem that we’ll remedy in Nov 2012.

If Obama loves the Palestinians so much, why doesn’t he go to Israel and blow himself up?

YOU ALL WANTED CHANGE WITH OBAMA. YOU GOT YOUR CHANGE.

What campaign slogan is he going to use next. Those of you who fell victim of him should be ashamed of yourselves. Maybe next time when someone asks you what his views on policies are, when you say “I don’t know” it might ring a Warning bell. During his election I have seen so many people say they want change well you got change buddy.

Obamanation is an apt description. This is a personal affront to every Jew & Christian in the USA & world done obviously to curry the favor of Palestinians & Muslims.Jehovah God said of Israel”I will bless those who bless you & curse those who curse you.”Genesis 12:3 President Obama has put America in the path of God’s righteous judgement.

bless (support) Israel, be blessed(by God).Curse Israel and be cursed as a nation or an individual…..you have God’s word on it. I don’t know if we can make it to the 2012 elections before the judgement of God falls on our once great nation thanks to the spiritually undiscerning “Christians” who voted the current anti-Semite-in-chief into the white house. To those who did and claim allegiance to Christ…REPENT..and turn back to God and throw away your “golden donkey” idol that you have elevated above the Lord……Choose you this day whom you will serve…..Christ or Baal….we have indeed become an Obamanation in the eyes of God……REPENT!!!

Bless(support)Israel and be blessed……Curse Israel and be cursed (as a nation or an individual)……you can take that to the bank…….you have God’s word on it. I don’t know if we can make it to the 2012 elections before God’s judgement falls on America…..because of the anti-Semite-in-chief the brain dead voters put into our White House. Especially those that would call themselves Christians and voted for this anti-Christ. You are either ignorant beyond excuse, or you totally lack spiritual discernment, or you bow down and worship the golden donkey that you have elevated above Christ Himself. If you voted for Obama and claim allegiance to Christ, Repent……you should have no other gods before Him

This administration is not remotely anti-Israel. The ignorance in such statements is just galling. Israeli officials will tell you that their security cooperation with the US under this administration is HIGHER THAN EVER, so is their military cooperation. Israelis also agree more with President Obama’s approach to negotiations than they do with that of their prime minister. Real friends can tell each other tough truths and that’s what Obama does sometimes to Israel. Did you know that Obama has appointed more Jews than ever to high level administration posts. 3/4 of the American ambassadors to Europe right now are Jewish. Check your facts. Calling the left Jew haters is ignorant, stupid and offensive. Before you throw accusations around, again, check your facts. This president has tried to push Israel to make peace so it doesn’t lose its character as a Jewish state and a democracy. Many Israelis and many people… Read more »

What an intelligent response. Very thoughtful. Based on facts. Very impressive. Thanks, seriously, for reinforcing exactly what I said: that people like you make staggeringly incorrect accusations because you don’t know facts and you like to slander those you disagree with. And since when does intelligent disagreement and love for Israel make someone a troll? Of course we can disagree about this administration’s approach to Israel, but responding with actual ideas rather than insults would be a good way to start something resembling a real conversation. Not holding my breath on that one, though…

You’re not even one of the better equipped paid liars…

That’s one of the glaring anomalies of coming in, guns-a-blazin’ with your first post ~ you have NO CLUE who you’re actually facing or dealing with.

I’ve been here about 2 years, was one of two chief moderators for most of that time. In my first 7 months, I posted literally thousands of evidential FACTS, FIGURES, verified links and cogent analysis on this and other areas of attack by your boss, and his puppets.

And if the new kid on the block (I ‘retired’… had other things to prepare) is worth his salt at all, or if my good friend from MT sees this, you’ll be gone before any “proof” I might take the time to give of my efficacy could even be served up.

But enjoy your visit, while it lasts, troll.

It will make you look even more clownish and lame. I’m not scared of “who I’m dealing with,” whatever that means. “I also don’t believe in demonizing my opponents for no reason. I think that this sort of demonization is ripping our country and our world apart.”

…this, right after these ‘gems’ from your first post:

“The ignorance in such statements is just galling.”

“Calling the left Jew haters is ignorant, stupid and offensive.”

“Stop slandering the president and stop embarrassing yourselves and real friends of Israel with such ignorant statements.”

Yep, real “civil”… especially for a very first post.

I perhaps went too far with a few of those words. I regret that. That said, I do believe that it is simply accurate to say that categorical statements like “leftists are Jew haters” are ignorant, stupid, and offensive statements. They just are. It would be just as true if someone said “rightists are racists” or some such offensive nonsense. The statements I called ignorant were ignorant because they made blanket propositions about this president “hating” Israel or being anti-Israel and they really are not based in fact. Any reasoned assessment of his policies in the Middle East would not produce such condemnation. I really don’t believe that calling a spade a spade is uncivil. Ignorant discourse needs to be called out. There is a difference between demonizing your opponents and calling them ignorant when they say something for which they provide no evidence which constitutes a form of character… Read more »

Typical of the willful “blindness” libs seem to insist upon when responding to criticism of “their boy, Obama.” Please feel free to TAKE OFFENSE at the choice of the word “boy” even though you have no idea whether or not it is meant at a racial slur. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, . . . it MUST BE A DUCK!! Obama has lied and lied and lied to the American people (and the world); therefore, . . . he must be a LIAR. It isn’t rocket science! You mean “categorical statements” like Obama and his ilk use ALL THE TIME (i.e. “clinging to their guns and religion,” “tea baggers” & “terrorists” [referring to tea partiers], “unpatriotic” [for not wanting higher taxes], and the many, many other demonizing terms/phrases blatantly and repeatedly used to fuel class warfare, etc. etc. ad nauseam). I’m curious. What is your stand on Obamas position that peace talks should start based on the 1967 boarders?

Anonymous

That’s a good question. My stand is that, honestly, that statement is largely a non-event blown way out of proportion. The Israeli foreign minister and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton issued a joint statement saying literally exactly the same thing in November 2009. No one went crazy. The key part of Obama’s statement is that this would be “with agreed-upon land swaps.” That means that he was basically making a small rhetorical gesture to the Palestinians hoping to lure them back to the table but not changing the longstanding American substantive position that a two-state solution would have to protect (as he said in the same speech) a secure and defensible Israel.

Netanyahu rejected a return to the 1967 borders citing the indefensible position it puts Israel in. You go from a 45 mile wide country to an 8 mile wide piece of land and this starting point also places Judea and Samaria beyond those borders. As it appears,Obama wants to have Israel participating in a game of Russian roulette with all it’s barrels loaded. Knowing Palistines past behavior, would you trust them to not take advantage of Israels position, especially knowing that they have an ally in Iran that shares their goal of destroying Israel?

You really want to come here, spout bovinian soft-serve… and belittle us for lack of “facts”?

O.K.

‘Fact’ from your first drippings:
“Obama has appointed more Jews than ever to high level administration posts.”

REALLY?

Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, Methodist (but probably a crypto-atheist).

Timothy Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury, was raised Episcopalian (but is probably a crypto-atheist).

Robert Gates, Secretary of Defense. His religion is unknown

Eric Holder, attorney general, Caribbean black (from Barbados), Episcopal

Ken Salazar, Secretary of the Interior, Hispanic

Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture, Catholic

Gary Locke, Secretary of Commerce, Chinese

Hilda Solis, Secretary of Labor, Hispanic, Catholic

Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Catholic.

Shaun Donovan, Secretary of HUD, Irish.

Ray H. LaHood, Secretary of Transportation, Catholic of Lebanese and German descent

Steven Chu, Chinese

Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education, religion unknown.

Eric Shinseki, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Japanese-American.

Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, a Methodist with an Italian name.

“…more Jews than ever…”

REALLY?

Jews in high-level administration posts: Rahm Emanuel, chief-of-staff (I believe first Jew ever in that post but am unsure), David Axelrod, chief political advisor — those were the two most significant West Wing appointments he made; at least 8 European ambassadors are Jewish (to Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, when the foreign service has long had very few Jews), offered Commerce to Penny Pritzker but she turned it down. Larry Summers was arguably the most important economic advisor for the first two years, also Jewish. So are a number of less visible people like the first chiefs of staff to both the VP and first lady as well as Tim Geithner’s right-hand man Gene Sperling. Also both of the liaisons to Afghanistan-Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, and Marc Grossman, as well as special envoy Dennis Ross, and one of Obama’s two supreme court justices, Elena Kagan, are Jewish.… Read more »

Listing those 8 co-thugs and saying “it is an important reminder that not only does this president not have a problem with Jews, he has long had many very close Jewish friends and supporters.” ~ is like saying he doesn’t hate American business owners, because some of those on that same list do, or have owned businesses.

Do you REALLY want to pursue that one?

you’re wrong on both counts. The fact is if you look at this president. many of his closest friends have long been Jews, 80% of Jews in this country voted for him and I would bet that it’ll happen again in roughly the same numbers. He has always had good relations with the Jewish community and many of his mentors were Jews. Calling these ambassadors “thugs” is really pathetic. You don’t know any of them, you don’t the work they do keeping this country and Americans overseas safe. I disagreed with almost every policy of the previous president, but I didn’t call appointees of his about whom I knew nothing thugs. That’s character assassination. And this president doesn’t business owners either. That’s such a silly and specious argument. He has at times rhetorically demonized large corporations, but he has also gone remarkably easy on big business with most of his… Read more »

When I said 3/4, I meant those in Western Europe. I believe this was roughly accurate. At least half of them are not Clinton-era recyclees, as I actually happen to know some of them personally and I know that they are not career appointees and were not big Clinton people previously. In any case, the fact that they would be from Clinton’s era really does not refute my point. If he disliked Jews, he would simply appoint other people. My overall point stands, which again is that he has appointed a large number of Jews to high posts. I may have used a bit of hyperbole in saying it was the most ever. I don’t know that for certain. As an observant Jew who follows Jews in high positions, I just never remember knowing of so many Jews in high administration posts.

Then you pooped this ‘factiod’:

“3/4 of the American ambassadors to Europe right now are Jewish.”

As of last month, there were EIGHT (8) American ambassadors to European countries of “Jewish” descent… and many of those, recycled Clinton friends, er appointees.

Obama is just totally incredible. His hostility to Israel is so blatant and so open. If he wins reelection and doesn’t have to worry about reelection in a second term Israel will be totally on its own. Obama will likely join the wolfpack of hatred at the U.N. against Israel. Israel had better prepare well or it won’t survive a second Obama administration! As the radical Islamist seem to be gaining ground in the Mid-East the danger to it grows and Obama is with them!

Incrementalism at work. Talk smack about Israel soon after taking office, support the mooselums at every opportunity and in every speech, insult Netanyahoo on a head-of-state visit, and now remove references to Jerusalem’s legitimacy as an Israeli city. Fortunately, I think most Israelis do not believe that Barry speaks for the United States of America. Certainly not in ideology, anyway.

Nixon resigned, it was either that or impeachment followed by criminal prosecution. He was allowed to resign and fade away because his impeachment would have practically destroyed the government had everything come to light, not to mention thrown the country into chaos.

Get a grip on yourself there. Do a bit more research on Nixon, has Zero sent a squadron of nuclear armed B-52s to the edge of Russian airspace? Nixon did, in 1969 ostensibly to convince the Soviets we were serious about Vietnam (he was not bluffing . Currently Zero is involved in one illegal war (Libya), Nixon conducted two (Cambodia and Laos) not to mention he even authorized raids into China by units attached to the Studies and Observation Group (SOG). He actively plotted to and on several occasions managed to subvert the Constitution through blackmail and intimidation of anyone from sitting Justices and Federal Judges at various levels of the judiciary to members of Congress, Watergate was the one time he got caught (thank God). But hey, who knows Zero still has a year and a half left to go, anythings possible.

Ken… I repeat my question. Where have you been? I maintain my grip is stronger than yours if you contend Obama’s not as bad as Nixon. Obama’s ten worlds away from Nixon. He is destroying America with the help of far left enablers in the culture… destroying America socially, economically, militarily. Are you blind to this? For all his faults, Nixon was not anti-American. Are you contending that Kennedy confronting Khruschchev regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis is not the same as Nixon confronting the Soviets regarding Vietnam. North Vietnam was China and the USSR’s proxies after all and Vietnam was part of the containment strategy to forefend the Domino theory. Korea was also another well know proxy war against China and the Soviet Union. I contend that America was largely successful in containing the threat in South East Asia, East Europe, South America. Ken, have to disagree with you on this one. Carter was and is a fool and way above his head, especially in foreign affairs. His administration is the one that opened the door to Islamic terrorism and showed the world that the U.S. could be a paper tiger if led by someone such as he. Nixon’s problem was his paranoia, which is what led to his downfall. He surrounded himself with men such as Haldeman and Ehrlichman who anticipated his paranoia and acted on it. He was in no way anti American, as we are now dealing with. Our world standing actually grew under his leadership. Clinton had a lot of faults, too many to list and it is fair to say that all he cared about was his own place in history without looking at and dealing with the long range, big picture, a true liberal Democratic position. Do you remember who gave him that choice, on a Sunday afternoon, Ken? We got it. Nixon no choirboy. I’d like to echo all your counter-posters. We have never had an transnationalist, post-American nutty professor in the White House before. And God Willing – never again. “illegal” wars = unauthorized military actions. Echo away, it’s still a relatively free country. But I was taught that it’s only polite to answer someone, even if the question requires repeating a previous answer.
