The President is doing well and could be discharged as early as tomorrow. The reports from his medical team this morning were all positive, and by all accounts the president is doing very well against the Covid-19 Chinavirus.
And that made at least one reporter audibly disappointed.
“That wasn’t as fun as yesterday,” a woman’s voice is heard saying, caught on a hot mic at the briefing.

These people are ghouls. A reporter was caught on a hot mic at the doctors' press conference about Trump saying "That wasn't as fun as yesterday." pic.twitter.com/O0Y93p9yiX

Yesterday less was known about how quickly the president would be able to return to the White House. Also, reporters went into the briefing having less information yesterday than they coming into today’s. And at the end of yesterday’s briefing they got juicy gossip from perennially unreliable Mark Meadows that cast uncertainty (at least among reporters) about whether things were going quite as well as Dr. Conley said.
Today, reporters went into the briefing with more information beforehand. The Meadows thing was sorted out. The timeline was established. The good news was apparently accurately good and still good at the time the briefing started. By the end it was clear not only that nothing bad had happened overnight, but that in fact Trump might be back at the office by tomorrow.
Which thing about those two days was less “fun” for the unnamed reporter?
Yeah I think we know. That’s what makes them ghouls.
Here’s some tweets reacting with the correct question.
Would be nice to find out who that was
