John McCain explained pretty well the problem with using military strength against North Korea – doing so puts thousands if not millions of lives in South Korea at risk.

I really am surprised with how many times I see people on social media smirk at how American power can obliterate North Korea. Yes, that’s true, but that’s not the point. It’s like someone threatening to kill you friend and you say, “haha, that’s dumb, I can destroy you if you do that!” If that’s true, it doesn’t matter much if they can severely damage your friend before you destroy them.
South Korea is basically hostage to North Korea.
And that’s why it’s not as easy to simply attacking and destroying the totalitarian regime and stain on humanity that leads North Korea.
[I apologize for insinuating that John McCain was right about something. Forgive me!]
