This is Biden’s view of America and it is WRONG WRONG WRONG

Hunter’s father said today that “we’ve never fully lived up to the founding principles of this nation”:

“We bought the view that America is a zero sum game … If you succeed, I fail. If you get ahead, I fall behind. … Maybe worse of all, if I hold you down, I lift myself up.”

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Americans have not bought into a zero sum game and that’s not how America operates. But this is the bizarrely skewed version of America that Democrats want Americans to believe is happening. Which is why they always drag out this tired and very dishonest propaganda.

One of the things that makes America great is that everyone in this country has the opportunity to succeed as long as government stays out of the way. It doesn’t matter if someone grows up in poverty or with a silver spoon in their mouth. Just look at Ben Carson as a great example!

Everyone has this potential and their success isn’t dependent on someone else’s failure. That’s the true picture of America and that’s what the founders of American had envisioned and created.

But Democrats like Biden want to pretend that America is a zero-sum game, that one man can’t get rich without another man getting poorer. And they use this dishonest caricature to demand that government step in and fix this non-problem. That’s how we end up with more government control over our lives, which takes away our liberty and doesn’t do anything but make the problem worse.

As the great Ronald Reagan once said in 1964:

We have so many people who can’t see a fat man standing beside a thin one without coming to the conclusion the fat man got that way by taking advantage of the thin one. So they’re going to solve all the problems of human misery through government and government planning. Well, now, if government planning and welfare had the answer — and they’ve had almost 30 years of it — shouldn’t we expect government to read the score to us once in a while? Shouldn’t they be telling us about the decline each year in the number of people needing help? The reduction in the need for public housing? But the reverse is true. Each year the need grows greater; the program grows greater.

That’s just as true now as it was back then. Government only makes the problem worse because they would rather take a fish from someone who has it and give that same fish to a poor man, to keep him dependent on the government for food. But our founders envisioned a country full of people who knew how to fish and didn’t need a bloated, thieving centralized government to hand them one.

Biden’s vision of America is what Reagan describes and will lead us all into a socialist wasteland. As the great Margaret Thatcher once said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
