“This is the largest single mass crossing I have ever seen at the southern border”, “It’s a total free for all!”

Illegals are coming across en masse today at the southern border, according to Bill Melugin. They are coming across at Eagle Pass, TX and Melugin has been reporting on it all morning.

It started out as around 1,000 coming across two hours ago:

“Mass illegal crossing of well over 1,000 migrants into Eagle Pass, TX taking place right now, w/ many of them telling me they are from Venezuela. Others telling my producer @AlexandriaHrndz they just arrived on a train in MX. Many still in water crossing. MASSIVE group.”

 
Melugin then posted over an hour ago: “Enormous group of predominantly single adult men now waiting to be processed by Border Patrol. More are still crossing right now. Never ending line coming in. No fear of consequences for crossing illegally. They expect to be released into the US after processing.”

 
Not long after that Melugin reported that the count is already around 4,000 illegals. For comparison, he notes that the 20,000 Haitians took several days to arrive:

“More still in the water crossing. TEXAS DPS troopers telling us their initial count is about 4,000 crossing. This is the largest single mass crossing I have ever seen at the southern border in my 2.5 years of coverage here. 20,000 Haitians in Del Rio were several days.”

 
His last post notes that it is a total free for all in Eagle Pass:

“It’s a total free for all in Eagle Pass right now. Mass illegal crossing taking place for over an hour and a half. Almost 2 years to the day we saw 15,000+ Haitians under the bridge in Del Rio, we now have thousands of predominantly Venezuelans gathering under Eagle Pass bridge.”
