The left is coordinating a campaign to sway both Collins and Murkowski to vote against Kavanaugh. No doubt they are getting all manner of threats as their office phone numbers are passed around Twitter:
To all the women in my life, to all survivors of sexual assault, I am so sorry at how this is all playing out. To all my friends in Maine - or people with friends in Maine - FLOOD Susan Collins with phone calls. Let's try to stop this. 202-224-2523

This is what you’d expect with this being a high stakes nomination that may shift the court back towards the Constitution for a long time.
But as I was perusing these tweets, I came across one from David Hogg and I’m not sure I even get it. He’s making Kavanaugh’s nomination a ‘racial issue’ and then something about ‘not a boy’ vs ‘a boy’….
Lisa Murkowski 202-224-6665
Susan Collins: 202-224-2523
Bob Corker: 202-224-3344
Jeff Flake: 202-224-4521 pic.twitter.com/OWuXyqJh1i— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) September 28, 2018
Huh? This comparison is utterly ridiculous. I mean, where is Michael Brown? Wasn’t he just a boy too?
Seriously though, Kavanaugh’s actions aren’t being ignored or dismissed by Republicans because he was “a boy”. They are being ignored because THERE IS NO EVIDENCE that he did any of this. But even more than that, the proof that Ford offered up turned out to contradict her and support Kavanaugh’s innocence.
Only a moron like Hogg would make this about something it’s not about: skin color and ‘youth’.
Lastly, just in case you wonder if this pressure campaign will escalate before Tuesday, Erick Erickson believes it will:

Normally the media and protesters are respectful of the elevators, as that is considered territory they aren’t supposed to be in. For years Congressmen have hidden from tough questions by jumping into a Capitol escalator. But that’s apparently changing now and Erickson might be right, that this will get violent before the vote happens on Tuesday.
