Thomas Massie says Speaker Johnson, Leader Thune trying to block Trump from making recess appointments

Rep. Thomas Massie said yesterday that both Speaker Johnson and Leader Tune are trying to block President Trump from making recess appointments.

Here’s what he wrote:

During August recess, Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune plan to call the House and Senate into session every four or five days, with practically no one there, for the sole purpose of preventing Trump from making recess appointments. I know Trump is in Scotland right now, but you can bet he would love to make recess appointments and, if what Massie says is true, then he’s not gonna be happy about this.
