Tim Tebow returned to the NFL earlier this year in an attempt to play tight-end instead of quarterback under his former college coach Urban Meyer. But it seems that isn’t going to work out, as Tebow was just released from the organization:
NY POST – The Jaguars released Tim Tebow on Tuesday as they trimmed their roster.
It puts a quick end to the failed experiment where Tebow was trying to convert from a quarterback to tight end under Urban Meyer, who also coached him at the University of Florida.
Here’s what Tebow had to say on Twitter:
Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks. I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream…

Thank you to the @Jaguars organization and everyone who has supported me in this journey.
And we know that…God works all things together for good. Romans 8:28

I really hate it didn’t work out for Tebow. He keeps trying his best to compete and it ends up like this.
I will say one thing for him. I know he only played for a few years in the NFL as QB, but he is one of the most well-known players out there and he constantly uses that fame to help others. Which is why he always has our respect here at TRS. In everything I wish him the best.
