The mayor of Uvalde, who called Beto a ‘sick son of a b—-‘ yesterday when he interrupted their news conference after the school massacred that left 19 children and two teachers dead, has a message for both Beto and the haters emailing him.
Watch:
Mayor Don McLaughlin said:
If they want to have that discussion, that’s fine. But that event today was not the place nor the time to come in there and attack the governor or anybody else there. If he wants to have that discussion, have it outside somewhere. Not in that building where we’re trying to give the people there…
This community is broken. No community should have to go through what we’ve gone through in this community. And for a person to come in there and start that crap, I have no respect for Beto. And the haters that hate that send me the emails and and the texts, to hell with you too.
I’m just telling ya. I don’t care if you’re a Democrat, Republican or Independent. We’re American people and we’re trying to come together as a community. And to do what [Beto] did today at that press conference was wrong. I’m sorry, but it was wrong.
I really like McLaughlin. After calling Beto a ‘sick son of a b—‘ yesterday, I was definitely a fan. And his message today doesn’t change that.
We haven’t done one of these in a while, but let’s make this an open thread.
To get you going, here’s a great story about a firefighter saving a puppy…
