Former NFL coach Tony Dungy said that he would stand during the national anthem, but that he would give players a time to speak out about their social justice agenda.
Watch below:
This is being pushed out there as him being totally against the anthem protests, but Dungy makes it clear that he thinks the anthem kneelers aren’t unpatriotic, and that they just want to bring attention to something they think is wrong.
He actually takes a pretty moderate position on the reasons behind the protests, but takes a hard stand against kneeling during the national anthem personally.
He’s being hit online by a lot of race baiters. This guy runs a race-baiting sports website called Black Sports Online:
Here is your media lesson of the day. Tony Dungy I'm sure had good intentions and said several things in favor of players, but if you look at the FOX NEWS taglines they say "National Anthem Outrage" and their tweet says "I WOULD STAND says Tony Dungy".

As I have mentioned several times, if you are a black person in media, FOX NEWS will put you on, not because they want your opinion, but because they can flip your opinion to their MAGA audience. See this nice black gentleman said he'd stand, NFL Players are wrong.

It is the equivalent of having a racist person saying I have a "black friend". You are the black friend of the news outlet that puts down black people 24/7, no matter what you say it isn't helping. They don't care about your opinion, they care they can manipulate your opinion.

Dungy should know better, but he is probably thinks like he can change a racist, a very positive outlook on things. Unfortunately people are who they are, especially a racist.

I have to admit some of what he says is true, but it’s just as bad to go after any black celebrity because he won’t bow down before the liberal Democrat narrative.
