Top House Democrat INSULTS Jews in order to defend Ilhan Omar

One Democrat today bent over so far backward to defend Ilhan Omar from the accusation of anti-Semitism that he insulted Jews whose family members were in the Holocaust.

THE HILL – Clyburn came to Omar’s defense Wednesday, lamenting that many of the media reports surrounding the recent controversy have omitted mentioning that Omar, who was born in Somalia, had to flee the country to escape violence and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before coming to the United States.

Her experience, Clyburn argued, is much more empirical — and powerful — than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.

“I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her,” Clyburn said. “I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”

What has that got to do with anything?

The point isn’t that Omar suffered in her life, but rather that she keeps spewing anti-Semitism. Having to flee violence in Somalia and spending time in a refugee camp has nothing to do with the fact that she’s an anti-Semite.

But instead of sticking to the point, Clyburn has to insult millions of Jews whose parents died in the Holocaust by suggesting that Omar’s struggles are more meaningful than theirs. How ridiculous.

Why can’t the Democrat Party just call out anti-Semitism in its own ranks like it should? Because there’s more anti-Semitism in their party than they are willing to admit and if they took it on, it’d destroy the party.

Nikki Haley called out Clyburn for his remarks a short while ago:

By the way, the cowardly House Democrats passed their watered down, meaningless resolution today against ‘all hate’ by 407-23 votes. Just thought you’d want to know.

  1. US Pres Donald J. Trump: “Democrats are the ‘Anti-Israel Party’ and ‘Anti-Jewish Party’, this is now a fact !

Ilan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, O-Casio-Cortez (along with Louis Farrakhan, Obama, Holder, Valerie Jarrett, Susan Rice, Al Sharpton, etc) are literally the face of the Democrat party of political anti-Semitism hate and violence, like brownshirt stormtroopers running the German Reichstag with intimidation, threats, and fear.

NewsFlash to Jewish Democrats: The Democrat Party Leadership has officially declared the Jewish vote and financial support irrelevant, no longer politically valuable, ie; expendable.

If Jewish Democrats continue to appease, placate, and condone this blatant racist anti-Semitic new leadership, they are just as guilty as those who commit the atrocities.

But sadly, knowing the history of American Jews, of the majority of German Jews in the 1930s, their attitude and lack of any sense of urgency to act accordingly before it’s too late will not change, for they are in a constant state of denial and apathy.

And worse, 8 years later are the Democrat Jewish KAPOS of today, stubbornly loyal to the Democrat Party of anti-Semitism, anti-Israel Jew hating Leftists from Obama, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Ilan Omar, Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour, O’Casio-Cortez, who actively supports Islamist Muslim Terrorist Nations like Iran, along with terrorist groups like Hamas, PLA, etc, who’s “Woman’s March” is a near replica of the Nazi Nuremberg Rally.

  2. The entire black caucus supports the nation of islam, so why would we expect this islamofascist thug to say anything else?

  3. The Democrat Party is pathetic and spineless….unless they’re attacking President Trump or Republicans. How could anyone be a Democrat?????

    1. and how can anyone give demonrats power?! It is shocking that anyone votes for them…to the point that it is obvious the DNC is stealing votes from the American people…we just need to figure out how and I believe my great state, Texas, is doing just that. Demonrats must be exposed for the evil that they are and never given power again. They are as unAmerican as Iran.

  4. As a very senior citizen I was not a bit surprised to hear the ugly anti semitic rhetoric coming from certain quarters.
Having a last name that is decidedly not Jewish sounding I have heard the ugliest slurs against Jews for decades.

    1. @talitha The truth is, I have lived my whole life without personally experiencing antisemitism first hand, and I was born in the early ‘50’s. It was only in the last decade or so, with rise of the Internet, that I began seeing ugly posts, but even those didn’t affect me directly. I grew up surrounded by both Jewish and secular communities, and was perfectly comfortable in both. I learned about the atrocities of the Holocaust but that was over before I was born. It didn’t carry over to America.

I believe it is not healthy to constantly tell children that people hate them. First of all it’s not true, the vast majority doesn’t and who cares about the powerless fringe who does?

Well, at least until recently they were powerless. This new turn toward radical Muslim loving Dems is very troubling. This is something I have never seen personally in my lifetime in this country. It must be stopped.

  5. Did Israel or jews attack somalia? Did I miss something? The bigot should be calling out her own.

  6. So shut about reparations for slavery Clyburn….I am sick of hearing about the old slavery crap as the reason why blacks can’t succeed.

  7. The proper way to describe this is, “Democrats fail to reprimand anti-semite and anti-semitic remarks.”

  8. “Why can’t the Democrat Party just call out anti-Semitism in its own ranks like it should?”
Because there are no longer any votes to gain in it.

  9. You tell them Nikki! But, I would have liked a way stronger condemnation than the word “disappointed”

  10. According to retarded Clyburn anyone who had to escape violence in his home country is entitled to hate the Jews…….sounds very similar to the NAZI-propaganda. So Clyburn “feels her pain” and gives her a free pass to spread hatred. But the truth is that if Clyburn gets enough cash he will feel Omar’s pain, or Bin Laden’s pain and even El Chapo’s pain.

  11. than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.

And yet we keep hearing about slavery from people who are even more generations removed from it than the Holocaust.

  12. Someone please explain why so many American Jewish people support Democrats.

I’ve heard Limbaugh explain it years ago, and I get it, but then again I don’t.

  13. Clyburn just destroyed the ridiculous argument of Reparations for slavery. Thank you Sir.

  14. The republicans should be pitching a fit all over the media about this, but where are they as usual?

    1. Sadly many republicans live in glass houses. Or hadn’t you noticed the president insisting that there are fine people amongst those who take to the streets chanting…….The Jews Will Not Replace Us.

  15. The modern Democratic Party:
    *Supports Communism
    *Supports Infanticide
    *Supports Antisemitism

    1. I like better the idea the First Congress had which was to cap congressional district sizes at 50,000. This 435 cap on the House that was put in at the same time as a bunch of other dumb ideas (like the 16th and 17th Amendments) needs to go.

      http://www.thirty-thousand.org/

  16. At what point are Republicans going to callout the Dems on the House floor for being apologists for anti-Semites?

Seems right now would be the perfect time to call them out & drop that bomb

  17. Besides being a blatant insult to millions of family members , It was a useless hateful statement that does nothing to excuse her anti semitism.

    1. If he apologizes for insulting the Jews he will then get into trouble with the Party of Satan. So guess on which side he is…….

  18. I think this is the greatest argument ever. I can’t wait to use it against blacks who whine about slavery.

  19. Ok I am sorry I am getting sick to death of all of this including Nikki’s tweet. I understand the sentiment behind it BUT this whole country needs to find a way to step aside from all this I was a victim, no I am more of a victim mentality it’s like throwing gasoline on a bon fire it will never die down if keep being fed…sigh I guess that’s the whole point though..Thanks Obama you caused more racial division than I have ever seen in my lifetime since the late 1960s.

    1. Yea, but victim cred is the currency of the day. Especially in Social Mediaville.

So much more important than merit.

  20. Clyburn has been an idiot for a long time so I’m not really surprised by this. I am surprised by just how many of these demonrats are saying the same thing. Think about it,a Somali Muslim woman saying Jews have divided loyalties and being protected by demonrats that get an extremely large percentage of Jewish and Muslim votes! This world just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser!

  21. “Her experience, Clyburn argued, is much more empirical — and powerful — than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.”
    ——————-
Note that Clyburn curiously omits the African Americans “who are generations removed” from slavery. Can you imagine his outrage if anyone had ever suggested it?

The irony of this is crushing.

    1. Great truths about humanity:

Jews do not recognize the divinity of Jesus.

Protestants do not recognize the authority of the Pope.

Democrats do not recognize their own hate.

  22. It looks like many folks skipped out on their history classes. It really doesn’t end well for people who attack the Jews. I’m not a Jew, but there’s plenty to like about the state of Israel.

    1. Well to be fair, there are plenty of things to dislike as well. Like their support for homosexuality and how so much of the country still rejects God.

But I still support them and their right to exist and can’t wait for the day when their enemies are eradicated.

      1. @therightscoop Of course you can disagree or even dislike someone or something. But as long as it’s based on ideas and values and not purely on their existence it’s not prejudice, right?

      2. I totally agree that they have the right to exist and that they still are not reconciled to the God who chose them. But according to the Bible, their day of reconciliation to God is still coming.

      3. Well to be fair, there are plenty of things to dislike as well. Like their support for homosexuality and how so much of the country still rejects God.

That aptly describes our country as well.

  23. So only 23 out of 197 Republicans had the guts to vote against the empty, pandering trash or were at least present to vote “No”? Very telling. Very.

    1. Yep. it was 23 Republicans who probably didn’t vote for it because it’s meaningless and offensive.

    2. Spineless idiots…..but then the CA RINO McCarthy is their leader so what can one expect.

  24. 407-23 votes….. Looks like they got a little help from somewhere else to get that overwhelming difference? But thanks for pointing it out.

Clyburn is a simpleton….everyone knows this but what did this omar lady say that can be construed as “anti-semetic?”

      1. I did and don’t remember her singling out “jews” but rather israel and or pacs that are primarily interested in israelian interests. That doesn’t mean anti-semetic. That’s disagreement with the influence. Why infer? Just because she’s muslim? If that’s the case, are the critics anti muslim?

          1. I know what you; or rather the media has said regarding “tropes” but I still believe that that is the wrong conclusion of what she actually said. Maybe she meant it the way you think she did but how do you know? What she actually said is relatively benign and known to anyone who is honest about the nature of lobbying and influence to the usa gov’t and a vast majority of others. It is all about money….money buys influence whether that be israelian or canada or even mexico….or any business. There isn’t a difference. My view is lobbying should be made absolutely illegal across the board!

            1. Why are you insisting on giving her a benefit of the doubt that she has done nothing to earn?

Maybe there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow too if we just wish hard enough.

              1. Not giving her a benefit of doubt but rather pointing out that she didn’t explicitly single out jews.
Where is the same kind of outrage when anyone explicitly denigrates a muslim? Sheet….or even when a christian is denigrated?

Not trying to change your opinion but simply pointing out a certain hypocrisy. There is the possible reason the 435’s voted in the affirmative for that useless resolution.

                1. She repeated tropes whose only purpose have ever been to denigrate the Jews.

Why are you so intent on defending this?

                2. Not defending man….just providing a different perspective on this. Imo….she and everyone else should either keep their mouths shut or provide explanation when touching on touchy subjects even though they really shouldn’t be considered touchy subjects. Too many sensitive people in the world.
Agree to disagree. Have a nice weekend…..tgif! And don’t forget its the dreaded spring forward this weekend.

                3. I hate daylight shavings. Grew up in Indiana where we didn’t have to deal with that crap.

                4. Well there is some common ground (actually a lot more likely!) Haha. Hate it too. Now my kiddo has to ride his bike in the dark to school for a couple months.
                  Cheers man!
