The New England Journal of Medicine says America must remove “gender assignments” on birth certificates, because of how much it hurts the feelings of wokes.
That’s not the exact words, but it’s actually pretty darn close to what they actually said. “Sex designations on birth certificates offer no clinical utility,” they lie, “and they can be harmful for intersex and transgender people.”
No utility? No WONDER libs can’t tell who is and isn’t a doctor.
The majority of the article is about political and social reasoning, not science, even going so far as to wade into the gender specific bathroom debate.
Eventually they have to make some kind of lackluster token effort at medical justification, which you read an excerpt from below, via The Blaze:
Designating sex as male or female on birth certificates suggests that sex is simple and binary when, biologically, it is not. Sex is a function of multiple biologic processes with many resultant combinations. About 1 in 5000 people have intersex variations. As many as 1 in 100 people exhibit chimerism, mosaicism, or micromosaicism, conditions in which a person’s cells may contain varying sex chromosomes, often unbeknownst to them. 2 The biologic processes responsible for sex are incompletely defined, and there is no universally accepted test for determining sex.
“Sex is a function of multiple biologic processes with many resultant combinations,” this is blatant doubletalk. Yes, the fact that you have a wang ain’t the only thing that makes you a dude. There are a lot of other things too. That’s not an argument AGAINST specific gender, it’s an argument FOR it. Men and women are different, not just in the crotch but in the ribs and the muscle mass and the average height and the chromosomes and the DNA and the …. well you see what I’m saying.
“there is no universally accepted test for determining sex” is an even bigger joke. The woke “science” community — you know: libs — have systematically destroyed all possibility of such a test by refusing to accept basic biological truths and inarguable premises, and deliberately creating a haze and “spectrum” out of political motivations. Then to turn around and claim this artificially created confusion is inherent and the CAUSE of the woke point of view is flat out gaslighting.
The very small numbers of rare medical situations, the incidences of which they have inflated here by inclusion of minor defects which have no outward or internal impact on the person in question, are also no argument for tossing the “utility” of identifying gender for all the people for whom no such defect exists.
It’s like saying there’s no such thing as people who can walk because some people can’t walk. It’s asinine.
This is the world the liberals have made and are continuing to make. When people say culture war, it’s important to remember that’s not trivial. It is ultimately a war between truth and lies. Between the world as God made it, and the world as liberals wish to remake it. It is reality vs. fiction. It is us versus them.
