The Huffington Post has an article out this week with the headline “Transgender Swimmer Lia Thomas Is Destroying Records At Penn And Aiming To Make History”. That’s their headline, written without a hint of irony or self-reflection about the fact that a biological man who wasn’t setting records now IS because he switched to women’s sports.
As readers at Right Scoop know, biological reality does not care about your feelings, and the reason that people oppose “transgender” participation in sports is being perfectly illustrated by “Lia’ Thomas, born Will.

Lia Thomas won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:41.93 at the Zippy Invitational in Akron, Ohio, on Saturday to break the school’s all-time mark and establish the best time in the nation this season, according to the university. On Sunday, she won the 1,650 freestyle by more than 38 seconds in 15:59.71 to set another university record.
In a previous meet against Ivy League rivals Princeton and Cornell, Thomas won the 500 free in what was the best collegiate time (a Princeton record 4:35.06) so far, in addition to capturing the 100 and 200.

Not everyone has been forced into sterile silence by the aggressive dictators of the “woke” mafia, though. Some are speaking out against this injustice.

A second female swimmer from the University of Pennsylvania has spoken out to air her frustrations and fury as her transgender teammate Lia Thomas continues to smash records.
The entire team has been ‘strongly advised’ not to speak to the media and the second swimmer has been granted anonymity.
Nevertheless, the teammate has stepped forward to tell how UPenn swimmers are ‘angry’ over what has been perceived as a ‘lack of fairness’ as Thomas smashes record after record in the pool.
Women – ACTUAL women – are in tears over this injustice and the destruction and erasure of their accomplishments by this Jenny-Come-Lately.
The second anonymous swimmer to speak out over Thomas’ performance has said Penn swimmers were upset and crying as they knew their times were going to be obliterated by her.
‘They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they put in it, they’re going to lose. Usually, they can get behind the blocks and know they out-trained all their competitors and they’re going to win and give it all they’ve got,’ the source said to Outkick.
‘Now they’re having to go behind the blocks knowing no matter what, they do not have the chance to win. I think that it’s really getting to everyone.
‘Usually everyone claps, everyone is yelling and cheering when someone wins a race. Lia touched the wall and it was just silent in there. When fellow Penn swimmer Anna Kalandadze finished second, the crowd erupted in applause.’
And what’s more, in a very competitive male fashion, Will-Lia BRAGGED about beating women, rubbing their faces in the biologically fraudulent abuse.
The anonymous source who spoke to Outkick claims that after the race, Thomas could be overheard bragging.
‘That was so easy, I was cruising,’ Thomas is alleged to have said before bragging in front of her teammates ‘At least I’m still No. 1 in the country,’ while claiming she was unhappy with her time in the 500.
‘Well, obviously she’s No. 1 in the country because she’s at a clear physical advantage after having gone through male puberty and getting to train with testosterone for years,’ OutKick’s source said.
‘Of course you’re No. 1 in the country when you’re beating a bunch of females. That’s not something to brag about.
It’s weird, I remember when we were all supposed to believe that progressives cared about protecting traditionally disadvantaged or oppressed classes, with the championing of women being at the top of their list.
But no more. Now the erasure of women is seen as a POSITIVE by the left. They LIKE it because they found a new cause to get all self-righteous and religious about. A fake one, which is the best kind for a progressive because they can fight it indefinitely, the whole rule set is made up.
Will ‘Lia’ Thomas is a man. He knows it, we know it, and the record of his destruction of a swimming program for women proves it. He is an invader, colonizing women’s sports for his own personal gain.

If any of these “transgender athletes” had a shred of integrity or a fraction of the consideration they demand at cultural gunpoint from others, they would never put women in this position. They would step aside, putting their ambitions behind the cause of justice.
But they don’t, and the reason is because the essential innermost space of any progressive’s heart is utterly selfish. Whether they are claiming to be the opposite gender, or just cheering for someone else who claims it.
