‘Later on’ is a pretty vague term in terms of time frame. He also says in the video that when he found out about the payments he wanted to know where they came from – him or the campaign – which might suggest he didn’t know about the payments being made to Cohen on his behalf?
Whatever the truth here, this sounds a bit different than what Trump said about four months ago on Air Force One:
Then he said he didn’t know anything about the payments OR where the money came from. He said to ask Cohen.
