As much as I hate it, I feel like we must have an obligatory post almost every day to cover Trump’s tweets. It’s annoying and occasionally I ignore them, especially if they aren’t that interesting. But today I can’t, so here’s your obligatory Trump Tweets post.
Trump is now praising Roy Moore in the aftermath of Luther Strange’s crushing but expected loss last night:
Congratulations to Roy Moore on his Republican Primary win in Alabama. Luther Strange started way back & ran a good race. Roy, WIN in Dec!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2017
Spoke to Roy Moore of Alabama last night for the first time. Sounds like a really great guy who ran a fantastic race. He will help to #MAGA!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2017
Well he’s not wrong. Moore will help #MAGA, but I don’t think he will be a rubber stamp for Trump like Strange would have been.
Trump also called Jerry Jones. I think he’s a big Cowboy fan now!
Spoke to Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. Jerry is a winner who knows how to get things done. Players will stand for Country!

Trump also says they now have the votes to pass a healthcare bill, but not before Friday:
With one Yes vote in hospital & very positive signs from Alaska and two others (McCain is out), we have the HCare Vote, but not for Friday!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2017
We will have the votes for Healthcare but not for the reconciliation deadline of Friday, after which we need 60. Get rid of Filibuster Rule!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2017
Sorry, but I just don’t believe they have the votes to pass it. I don’t know how they can when we have strong conservatives vs squishy RINOs in a zero-sum fight over repealing Obamacare.
And lastly…
Facebook was always anti-Trump.The Networks were always anti-Trump hence,Fake News, @nytimes(apologized) & @WaPo were anti-Trump. Collusion?

..But the people were Pro-Trump! Virtually no President has accomplished what we have accomplished in the first 9 months-and economy roaring
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2017
I don’t know if I believe this either, but at this point I’m not willing to take the time to figure it out. My guess is as the year progresses it becomes less and less true, especially given that Congress hasn’t really done anything yet.
