The Trump campaign is coming down hard on Jake Tapper at CNN for cutting away from the latter end of the president’s announcement on al-Baghdadi.
https://twitter.com/TeamTrump/status/1188462890317160454Tapper discussed the announcement and said that he felt uneasy with how Trump was spiking the football, but a guest disagreed, saying it was good to undermine the reputation that al-Baghdadi had gained. Others were crapping on Tapper for cutting away when he was talking about special forces:
.@jaketapper refers to the troops who carried out the #Baghdadi raid as "lesser matters," cuts away from the press conference. https://t.co/0nYFhA5IDr

Not sure that’s really fair to him. Tapper has shown, more than most, how respectful he is of the sacrifice made by the military. He even wrote a book documenting that sacrifice in Afghanistan.
On the other hand, I could definitely see the higher ups at CNN cutting out in order to reduce the chance for Trump to take credit for the military success. Especially after it’s been proven that Jeff Zucker does actually call into CNN to change the programming against Trump….
