Trump has just announced that he’s cancelling his trip to Denmark since the Prime Minister has no interest in selling Greenland:
Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time….

You may think this is out of spite, but Trump actually thanked her for being so direct and saving taxpayers a lot of money that would have been wasted on a trip:
….The Prime Minister was able to save a great deal of expense and effort for both the United States and Denmark by being so direct. I thank her for that and look forward to rescheduling sometime in the future!

Well at least we know now why Trump was going to Denmark in the first place.
So if Trump ever reschedules a trip to Denmark, I suppose we’ll know that the PM has changed her mind or that she lost an election in the future.
