Of all the things for Trump to tweet about, I wouldn’t have thought this would have been one of them.
The other day Trump referred to Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, as “Tim Apple”.
It was clearly just a gaffe and the news media fixated on it, like they always do.
Heck Tim Cook even changed his Twitter name to “Tim ”. It was funny.
But I guess Trump didn’t like the coverage because this morning he’s defending his gaffe and ripping the news media for their coverage of it:
At a recent round table meeting of business executives, & long after formally introducing Tim Cook of Apple, I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words. The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!

I get that Trump is sensitive, especially after all of the super negative media coverage he’s gotten since he’s been president. But I probably would have let this one go. After all he said it and it was more of a ‘funny’ than anything else.
But I guess Trump wouldn’t be Trump if he weren’t ‘punching’ back. So…
