In more video released from Jeanine Pirro’s interview with Trump, she asks him about a report that he asked Comey for loyalty and was rejected right before he made the decision to fire him.
Trump’s response is about as Trump as you can get:
He denies it, but says it wouldn’t be a bad thing to ask. He does this a lot.
And he says loyalty to the country isn’t bad, and neither is loyalty to the United States. But that’s NOT what he’s being accused of asking, and that’s not what Pirro said. So does Trump equate loyalty to the United States to loyalty to himself? Who knows. But this is a rhetorical trick that he loves using….
We also posted the other clip where he talks about cancelling press conferences altogether, since Sean Spicer is doing such a bang-up job.
