Trump ENDS decades old tradition of White House Ramadan dinner…

Trump is again sending mixed signals to the entire world by ending the annual Ramadan dinner at the White House, which has been instituted for decades.

For the first time in nearly two decades, the White House did not host an iftar dinner to commemorate Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

Instead, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania released a statement on Saturday wishing “warm greetings” to those celebrating Eid al-Fitr, an important holiday marking the end of Ramadan.

“Muslims in the United States joined those around the world during the holy month of Ramadan to focus on acts of faith and charity,” they said. “Now, as they commemorate Eid with family and friends, they carry on the tradition of helping neighbors and breaking bread with people from all walks of life.”
By not hosting a dinner, Trump breaks with an annual tradition upheld by the past three administrations. The dinners began under President Bill Clinton and were continued by both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. They were typically attended by prominent members of the Muslim community as well as members of Congress and diplomats from Muslim countries.

But wasn’t he just in the Middle East talking about how great Islam is and how wonderful his allies the Saudi Arabians were? And before that he was saying the Saudi Arabians were responsible for 9/11. But if you dislike Islam, then this is absolute proof that Trump is on your side, right? Right.

Tillerson also snubbed U.S. tradition of recognizing the Muslim holiday:

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson also broke with decades of tradition by rejecting a request by the State Department’s Office of Religion and Global Affairs to host a reception marking Eid al-Fitr, according to two administration officials familiar with the decision.

Since 1999, Tillerson’s five Republican and Democratic predecessors have hosted either an iftar dinner to break the fast during Ramadan or an Eid al-Fitr reception at the end of the monthlong holiday. Many diplomatic posts overseas also host events during the Ramadan month of fasting and prayer.

I’m not saying this isn’t a good thing, I’m just saying Trump is absolutely schizophrenic and contradictory when it comes to his position on these issues.

According to Andrea Mitchell, the first prezzy to do so was Thomas Jefferson!!

That is completely within the character of Jefferson because he was such a skeptic in all religion, but apparently, this is being completely exaggerated – it wasn’t a formal dinner that was planned by Jefferson to honor Islam at all. But then on the right we have odd conspiracy theories about the Ramadan dinner just being an excuse to bring in throngs of Muslim Brotherhood raiders and pirates. Oh well. Such is the state of politics these days.

My sooper secret deep state sources inside the White House tell me that Trump is covertly organizing a scimitar dance around the Muslim orb of power inside the Oval Office….
