Trump weighed in today on the new Woodward book, calling it a ‘work of fiction’.
Here’s what he told reporters a few minutes ago:
President Trump responds to Bob Woodward's upcoming book about his administration: "The book means nothing. It's a work of fiction" https://t.co/XVGpR7q5PF pic.twitter.com/AYWo3SSnxZ

Trump also weighed in on why he thinks the book was released this week, and it has everything to do with Kavanaugh:
Pres. Trump claims Bob Woodward book was "put out to interfere, in my opinion, at this time to interfere with the Kavanaugh hearings, which I don't think it's done." https://t.co/SPeCAoYgF1 pic.twitter.com/y5cruvjabZ

I haven’t read the book (probably won’t), so I don’t know what is in it about Kavanaugh and whether Trump is right or wrong in his speculation.
But my gut tells me it doesn’t have much to do with Kavanaugh and more to do with knocking Trump before the November elections. Also this is a prime time when people are getting politically engaged, so it’ll sale more books. Money money money.
