Trump once again takes to Twitter to call out the London Mayor for his “no reason to be alarmed” statement:
Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 5, 2017
As we pointed out over the weekend, Trump took this phrase out of context. The Mayor wasn’t saying that people shouldn’t be alarmed by the terrorist attacks, but rather by the increased police presence in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks.
That said, I’m no fan of the London Mayor at all. Earlier this year he lambasted Trump’s original travel ban as “shameful and cruel”. He’s now defending Islam against the ‘perverse extremism’ of those who perpetrated the attacks even though we all know that Islam itself is the problem. And we all saw him open his arms wide to Muslim refugees with whom Turkey was flooding Europe.
We don’t yet know if these terror incidents were done by refugees, but if they were then can expect Trump will have more to say about it on Twitter.
