Trump has stated unequivocally this morning that he did not know of the Russia meeting with his son, pushing back on the news that Cohen is going to testify that he knew about it:
Arrived back in Washington last night from a very emotional reopening of a major U.S. Steel plant in Granite City, Illinois, only to be greeted with the ridiculous news that the highly conflicted Robert Mueller and his gang of 13 Angry Democrats obviously cannot find Collusion...

....,the only Collusion with Russia was with the Democrats, so now they are looking at my Tweets (along with 53 million other people) - the rigged Witch Hunt continues! How stupid and unfair to our Country....And so the Fake News doesn’t waste my time with dumb questions, NO,....

.....I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr. Sounds to me like someone is trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam (Taxi cabs maybe?). He even retained Bill and Crooked Hillary’s lawyer. Gee, I wonder if they helped him make the choice!

Trump knows that it will be Cohen’s word against his word and there won’t be any proof to back up Cohen’s claim, so he’s trying to make the most of it by putting these tweets out this morning.
He also suggests that Cohen is simply trying to save his own butt regarding his taxi cab medallion problems by testifying.
And as far as I know, no collusion ever actually occurred in the Don Jr. meeting with the Russian lawyer, as it was mainly a ruse to get them in a room to discuss the Magnitsky Act. So even if Trump did know about it ahead of time, what’s the point of all this? That he lied about knowing about the meeting? Well to put it bluntly, it wouldn’t be the first time.
But at this point it’s his word vs Cohen’s word, and I’m not sure that bodes well for Mueller, especially if Cohen has ever claimed that Trump didn’t know about it.
