Today Trump attacked Iowa Governor Reynolds for the same reason he began attacking Florida Governor DeSantis last November, because she isn’t loyal enough.
Instead of supporting Trump, Governor Reynolds apparently dared to say she wants to remain neutral in this Republican presidential primary. But that’s not good enough for Trump:
It’s the same song and dance with Trump. He claims credit for her victory and slams her for now bowing down and kissing his ring. Just like with DeSantis.
You know it really makes sense for her to remain neutral, especially with her state being the first to vote next year. It shows she respects her voters and she doesn’t want to show favoritism in this primary, especially when she likes more than one candidate. Why can’t Trump understand this? Because ‘loyalty’ has always been the only principle he truly believes in.
The former Republican Party co-Chair in Iowa didn’t like this attack at all and says he’s done with Trump:
Ok… so we shouldn’t remain neutral? Well then after this I’m out on the former President. It’s time for fresh leadership or shall I say actual leadership. I am open to support a new fresh leader who inspires others. #iacaucus pic.twitter.com/W8v33J9BGX

UPDATE: Governor DeSantis responds:
.@KimReynoldsIA is a strong leader who knows how to ignore the chirping and get it done. She earned a landslide re-election because she delivered big results, and she is poised to deliver even more for Iowans in the special session.
