Trump Jr. admits meeting with Russian lawyer who said she had dirt on Hillary

This is an odd story and it’s really exciting the liberals on twitter. So yesterday it was reported that Trump Junior met with a Russian lawyer who had connections with the Russian government.

He was with Kushner and Manafort.

In that original report, Jr. admitted the meeting happened, and said they discussed issues related to adoption. That’s it. OK.

Today, another report dropped saying Junior met with this lawyer because she said she had dirty on Hillary. And then later they talked adoption.

President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton before agreeing to meet with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign, according to three advisers to the White House briefed on the meeting and two others with knowledge of it.

So, Junior and the other officials were willing to meet with a Russian to try to get dirt on Hillary.

And they admitted so. 

 “After pleasantries were exchanged,” he said, “the woman stated that she had information that individuals connected to Russia were funding the Democratic National Committee and supporting Ms. Clinton. Her statements were vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information.”

He said she then turned the conversation to adoption of Russian children and the Magnitsky Act, an American law that blacklists suspected Russian human rights abusers. The law so enraged President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia that he retaliated by halting American adoptions of Russian children.

“It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting,” Mr. Trump said.

So what’s the big deal? Kushner said he never met with any Russian officials, and he just released a statement saying that he corrected what he told officials to include this meeting.

So again, we have an instance of Trump people apparently lying about meeting with Russians. Illegal? Doesn’t look like it. Shady? Kinda.

And again, apparently they don’t tell Mike Pence anything. Here he is in January saying no Trump official had any contact with Russians.

Poor Pencey.

But again, it’s just a lie to the American people. And his supporters seem to be OK with that as long as its from Trumps.
