Last night Trump Donald Jr. was on Fox News with Judge Pirro, and he seemed to accidentally contradict Trump’s own denial about what he told James Comey.
Here’s what he said – he confirmed Comey’s account that Trump told him he “hoped” he would end the investigation into Flynn:
Off message here for Trump Jr. Says his father did tell Comey he hoped he let the Flynn investigation go. His dad says that's a lie. pic.twitter.com/oOhaFgZY4a

At the beginning of this CNN segment, they show Trump absolutely denying he said that to Comey:
So which is it? It sounds like they got their messaging mixed up. They had a narrative that Trump would never say anything as half-hearted as “I hope” when he meant “I want you to do this.” But he accidentally says that Trump did actually say that he hoped Comey would end the investigation.
But these kinds of discrepancies turn out to be completely unimportant and nitpicking and unfair and fake news when they’re pointed out, so stop pointing it out you traitor!!!
Here’s the entire fawning interview with Trump Jr., for context:
Donald Trump Jr. Is an absolute rockstar. Glad he's just like his father. Maybe he'll be president after his dad. pic.twitter.com/X4VLae2Fj0
