[UPDATE: MORE] – Trump just defended his comments about listening to a foreigner with information about his opponent…

Last night Trump was asked whether he would call the FBI if someone from another country said they had information on his opponent. In short, he said no, that he’d want to hear it:

The media is making a huge deal about this and running with it non-stop this morning, as if Trump just admit tied to collusion or something.

A few minutes ago Trump defended his comments, as he did in the video above, saying that it would be ridiculous to call the FBI about meetings with foreign governments:

I honestly don’t know why Trump agreed to do an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. They always ask him the same questions about Russia Russia Russia.

I know it’s hindsight now but it would have been awesome if Trump had responded to Stephanopoulos, when asked if he would entertain information about his opponent from a foreigner, by saying it’d be better than hiring a foreign spy to go dig up dirt on his opponent in Russia.

UPDATE: Trump just tweeted more on this…
