Today Trump was asked about his preparations for the upcoming N. Korean summit, which he answered below by saying: I don’t think I have to prepare very much. It’s about attitude.

Trump also says he’s very prepared and that he’s been preparing for this for a long time. Given how Trump has a penchant for exaggeration and has admitted in the past that he’s made up stuff in meetings with international leaders, pardon me if I am skeptical of this. If all of that preparation boils down to just attitude and a willingness to do something, then I fear he may be unprepared.
Now to be fair, Trump will have his top advisors at the summit (which may or may not include Bolton) and from that perspective he will be very prepared, as I’m sure they know the issues quite well. So I’m not particularly worried as long as he depends on them.
But I don’t think it instills confidence in people for him to say it’s just about attitude.
