Trump social media director hot after Twitter marks Biden clip “manipulated media”

Twitter labeled the Joe Biden “We can only re-elect Donald Trump” video as ‘manipulated media’ yesterday which got Trump’s social media director upset as well as some conservatives:

DAILY MAIL – Conservatives were up in arms after Twitter labeled a video of Joe Biden shared by the White House’s Director of Social Media Dan Scavino ‘manipulated media.’

On Saturday, Scavino shared a video clip of ‘Sleepy Joe’ Biden speaking in St. Louis, Missouri where he fumbles over the word of his speech and eventually says, ‘We can only re-elect Donald Trump.’

The video is shortened so that the rest of Biden’s point is cut off: ‘We can only re-elect Donald Trump if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here.’

Technically the clip wasn’t manipulated in the sense that Biden did say what it appears he said in the video. This was the original version we posted here. Clearly he says it:

But what sounded like a horrendous gaffe to most people (including myself) because of where Team Trump ended the video, wasn’t actually a gaffe at all. Yeah, Biden did get his words wrong in part of the clip. But where he said “We can only re-elect Donald Trump” was missing the crucial rest of the sentence “if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here.”

If the shoe were on the other foot and Team Biden put out a video of Trump like this, we’d be all over it showing the full context of what he said to dispel any mistruth that Trump was fumbling his words or that he didn’t meant to say it. And I think it’s completely fair that the left did the same with this video.

Sadly, now I feel the need to double check the videos Team Trump is putting out to ensure they aren’t misleading like this one clearly was.
