El Presidente Trumpo showed that he can still trigger all the liberals with one tweet, probably his greatest singular talent.
He nuked Pocahontas and her campaign event today with this tweet:
Today Elizabeth Warren, sometimes referred to by me as Pocahontas, joined the race for President. Will she run as our first Native American presidential candidate, or has she decided that after 32 years, this is not playing so well anymore? See you on the campaign TRAIL, Liz!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2019
What they’re really upset about is that he highlighted the word “trail” by capitalizing it.
Trump is a racist who very predictably and despicably always calls Senator Warren “Pocahontas.” He pokes fun at the brutal massacre at Wounded Knee and encourages other Republicans to follow suit with very racist attacks that hurt Native Americans who have suffered so much.— Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) February 9, 2019
Congressman Jason Chaffetz posted this picture on Twitter, which is still up, and said “At Disneyland today with Senator Elizabeth Warren...” This is completely and absolutely disrespectful and mind-bogglingly racist. pic.twitter.com/QrxNLn9gEz— Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) February 9, 2019
Is this a pun about the Trail of Tears during which Native Americans were forcibly removed from their land and thousands died while White men looted their homes?— Amanda Guinzburg (@Guinz) February 9, 2019
God, you're awful.
Thousands of Native Americans died on the Trail of Tears, which Trump appears to be jokingly referencing here https://t.co/zfM6SSUxCs— Cristiano Lima (@viaCristiano) February 9, 2019
I try to never dignify this man’s tweets, but there is little doubt here that he uses “TRAIL” to evoke the genocidal Trail of Tears, and does so to land a political jab. Warren has taken justifiable heat on this issue—but he used the murders of Indigenous people as a punchline. https://t.co/LiyK2iruDF— Jamil Smith (@JamilSmith) February 9, 2019
The President of the United States just made a joke about the Trail of Tears, which was when Native Americans were forcibly moved. Roughly 4,000 Native Americans died. https://t.co/ND68J8UAXW— Eric Michael Garcia, former Chicago resident (@EricMGarcia) February 9, 2019
Yeah I dunno. He’s not big on historical facts. Or knowing things. He’s big on saying he knows them, but not so much on knowing them. And if he DID mean it that way, well, yeah, that’s Trump. I mean… Democrats got politicians in blackface, but this is what they’re upset over?
