I’m not sure what the point is though – he’s already given in to Democrats, so what would pressure them to come to the table on any deal? Why would they not just do it all over again?
Maybe this tweet from Sarah Sanders is the answer: he is planning to proclaim a national emergency and build the wall through the military and ignore Congress.

So they want to try to pin the responsibility on the Democrats. But I have to wonder why doesn’t he do that right now then? I also think it’s irresponsible of us to expand the powers of the executive and ante it up for a Democratic president to abuse the same power. This is called the Harry Reid maneuver. I just don’t see the upside here. But then again, I’m not a 42nd dimension chess champion…
