Trump warns NYC mayor that he’ll send in law enforcement to stop shootings and restore law and order

Last night Trump warned NYC mayor Bill de Blasio that if he couldn’t restore law and order and stop the shootings, that he will:

Here’s more from NY Post:

President Trump has threatened to send the feds to intervene in New York City following the surge in shootings that’s left at least seven people dead and more than 50 shot in less than a week in the Big Apple.

“Law and Order. If @NYCMayor can’t do it, we will!” the president tweeted Sunday night, retweeting a tally of the recent bloodbath.

Since Thursday, shots rang out in at least 50 separate incidents across the five boroughs, leaving seven dead and 52 injured, ABC New York reported.

The crime wave caps a bloody week of 62 total shootings, up from 26 gun incidents over the same one-week period last year.

It sounds like what Trump is threatening here is to make New York City a part of operation legend, where they send federal officers to these cities to work with local law enforcement in order to reduce violent crimes. The DOJ just added Indianapolis to the list on Friday and NYC could be next. Thus far, operation legend is active in Chicago, Albuquerque, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Memphis and Indianapolis.
