Trump just released a new tweet on his Truth account about Governor DeSantis and it shows you how scared he is of DeSantis running against him in 2024.
The tweet by Trump is also quite bizarre and I’ll explain below.
What Trump said: “Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million? Just asking?”
First of all, how petty must Trump be to even write this? He sees DeSantis getting all the glory for last night’s big wins in Florida, with people calling him the future of the party and Trump doesn’t like it. He’s apparently so eaten up with jealous that he’s tweeting out this nonsense.
And it is nonsense. He’s comparing the turnout of a presidential election to the turnout of a midterm election. Everyone knows the turnout is much higher in presidential elections and the comparison incredibly lame and honestly, bizarre. If anything, you could say that DeSantis is so popular in his state that he was only a million votes shy of what Trump got in 2020.
Clearly, Trump doesn’t want DeSantis to run against him, but he also doesn’t want DeSantis getting all the glory that he absolutely deserves.
