Earlier this week Tulsi Gabbard came out against impeachment of Trump, saying it would be too divisive for the country:

But now, according to a new report by Axios, Gabbard has totally flipped on the issue:
2020 Democratic contender Rep. Tulsi Gabbard backed an impeachment inquiry for President Trump on Friday, stating that her review of the whistleblower complaint, the memo of Trump’s July call with Ukraine’s president and Trump’s comments over the past few days swayed her decision.
The Hawaii congresswoman’s previous position had been an outlier amongst 2020 Democrats and Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s caucus — and she had strongly spoken out against the idea just a few days ago. With Gabbard on board, all top 2020 Democrats now support impeachment in one form or another.
It’s so easy to see that this is really about the election. She wants to win the 2020 Democratic nomination and there’s no way she can do that without going all in on impeachment.
So now she’s pretending that a thoughtful reading of the transcript and the complaint have changed her mind. Which is ridiculous considering that the hearsay complaint doesn’t even matter and the transcript didn’t reveal any quid pro quo.
If I were a betting man, I’d say she’s been getting an earful from Democratic voters all week on this issue demanding that she support impeachment or she will lose their support.
