Turns out Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t just want to get rid of ICE…

We all know that Ocasio-Cortez hates ICE and wants to get rid of them. But now we are learning, from a recent interview on New Yorker Radio, that she doesn’t just want to get rid of ICE:

When asked if Ocasio-Cortez would get rid of Homeland Security too, she responded in the video above:

“I think so… I feel like we are at a very – it’s a very qualified and supported position, at least in terms of evidence, and in terms of being able to make the argument that we never should have created DHS in the early 2000s.

Fox News also reports her saying:

“I think we need to undo a lot of the egregious, umm, a lot of the egregious mistakes that the Bush administration did,” said Ocasio-Cortez, who has championed the elimination of ICE.”

Has AOC even considered how many times DHS has worked to keep us safe? Forget about the border for a second. How about working with other agencies like the FBI and CIA to thwart terror attacks? I don’t have the stats handy but I’ve heard over the years that it’s been quite a few times since 9/11 that terror attacks on American soil have been thwarted.

But looking back at the border, if we did get rid of ICE and DHS, who pray tell would take car of the border, especially with it being overrun by so many requesting asylum? Oh right, Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t want people held in detention just because they crossed the border and requested asylum. She wants open borders so anyone can cross and go wherever they want.

I guess this isn’t a shocker since she’s a radical socialist, but still, people who vote for this woman need to open their eyes and see what she’s really about. AOC and her ilk are a formula for the demise of America and that’s exactly what will happen if more like her keep getting elected.
