Twitter TORCHES Broward Sheriff for saying he’s NOT responsible for deputy that hid during school shooting [VIDEO]

Today Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel told NBC 6 that he wasn’t responsible for his school resource officer deputy who hid during the school shooting while students were getting massacred, and therefor he won’t resign:

Israel has been on the job for five years now after winning the election in 2012, but nothing is his fault apparently. He’s been denying responsibility all day long, and now he’s saying he’s not responsible for the fact that this deputy didn’t have ‘heart’? C’mon. He’s had plenty of time to evaluate this officer who was charged with protecting the students in this school.

And it’s not like this is the only issue. There were failures all over his department when it came to Cruz. Buzzfeed is now saying deputies were called to his home 45 times since 2008. And not to mention all of the significant tips his department failed to follow up on in any significant way.

Several on Twitter were completely flummoxed by the sheriff’s statement here, slamming him for failing to take responsibility:
