Looks like this is more of a trend than we thought. Monmouth has a new Texas poll out today, take this week, that has Cruz up by +15 points over Trump:

Here’s the lowdown on this poll:

The Republican likely primary voter sample has a margin of error of +4.6 percent and the Democratic likely primary voter sample has a margin of error of + 5.6 percent. The poll was conducted by the Monmouth University Polling Institute in West Long Branch, NJ.
The Austin American Statesman also has a poll out today that puts Cruz up by +12 over Trump:
Here’s the lowdown on this one:
This Texas Pulse poll surveyed about 1,000 likely voters — 620 Republicans and 411 Democrats — between Feb. 19 and Feb. 22.
It doesn’t provide a margin of error.
I should also mention that once again there is another poll that puts Cruz and Trump neck and neck in Texas, this time in a tie: Cruz 32, Trump 32, Rubio 17, Kasich 6, Carson 5.
It’s a SurveyUSA poll and was taken on the 21-22, surveying 645 Likely & Actual GOP Primary Voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.9%.
