Two Newsmax hosts are now beating CNN shows in overall ratings

Newsmax’s viewership has grown big enough to beat two CNN shows in overall ratings, according to Mediaite.

The shows in question are two staples at CNN, Anderson Cooper at 8PM and Erin Burnett at 6PM:

CNN and Newsmax were in close competition during prime time. CNN beat Newsmax in total viewers with 397,000 to 366,000. Newsmax scored to big wins over CNN as Eric Bolling beat Anderson Cooper at 8 p.m. and Rob Schmitt beat Erin Burnett at 6 p.m. — CNN won both hours in the demo.

We’re not talking millions of viewers like Fox News and MSNBC, which speaks to the incredibly low ratings CNN is getting each night.

But what’s incredible is that while Newsmax is on every major cable and satellite provider, it still doesn’t have as big a footprint as CNN and is still competing with them and, in the case of Bolling and Schmitt, are beating them in overall viewers.

CNN has had dreadful ratings for a long time which is why they relied so heavily on hating Trump, because it fit their narrative and helped their ratings. But they don’t have Trump to beat on any longer, plus they are under new management which is seeking to fix some of their overzealous partisan problems. Clearly they have much work to do to earn back the trust of viewers.
