Liz Cheney is going to try and play spoiler if Trump wins the Republican nomination for president.
She told a crowd yesterday that she hasn’t ruled out a third party run for president and she’s waiting to see who wins the nomination.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wis.), a longtime critic of former President Donald Trump, said that she has not ruled out a 2024 bid for president.
“I’m not making any announcements today,” she said while speaking at an event at the Mackinac Policy Conference in Michigan, adding: “I am really focused on making sure that Donald Trump isn’t anywhere close to the Oval Office.”
Cheney said last September that she would not be a Republican on the ballot if she ran for the White House in the future, fueling speculation that she could mount an independent bid for the president.
When asked by moderator Devin Scillian on Thursday if she would consider a third-party run for election, she said that she has not ruled it out.
“I think that we have to have good people, and I don’t know yet what that is going to look like,” she responded, adding that she has not ruled out a future run.
This is something we’ve suggested she would do in the past and it seems that playing spoiler in the general is still something she’s considering.
The bad thing is that Cheney has much better name recognition than did Evan McMullin back in 2016, when he tried unsuccessfully to keep Trump from winning. I fear that she might actually get enough votes to keep him from winning in certain states which could nix his chances for victory.
And I don’t think her hatred is just aimed at Trump. She’s indicated in the past that she doesn’t like DeSantis either, probably because she feels he’s a MAGA Republican. She has worked to stop other MAGA Republicans from winning, like Kari Lake, and she’s clearly going to try and do that again depending on who wins the Republican nomination.
It’s more than clear to me that Cheney got a very bad case of TDS and it broke her completely. I used to have respect for her but those times are long gone.
