Ugh: Racy emails from Scottie Nell Hughes to Charles Payne hit the internet…

It’s getting messy folks. Red Alert Politics posted screenshots of alleged emails from Scottie Nell Hughes to the suspended Fox News Business anchor Charles Payne from the affair that they both have confirmed existed at one time.

NOW… these are posted over there under this headline, which is clearly just a smear job: ““Female predator”: Former colleagues, leaked emails cast doubt on Scottie Hughes’ allegations against Charles Payne.”

LOOK. The emails prove nothing. Even if they are real, all they prove is that they had an affair. He isn’t contesting that and neither is she.

She is alleging that she was blackballed from the Fox News Network after they ended their relationship. The emails don’t do anything to prove or disprove that.

The worst part of the internet is that everyone feels the need to act like they know exactly everything about every topic immediately. Normally it’s just annoying. In this case, it’s very unfair to conclude absolutely that either side is right or wrong, when we don’t know all the facts, and assuming otherwise comes very close to character assassination…

UPDATE:

I forgot to explain the “Female predator” part of the headline. They cite some anonymous source at Fox News saying that. I mean, c’mon, that could be from anyone. I’m not defending Hughes or anything she’s done – in fact, I’ve been highly critical of her politically. But this really does seem like an unfair smear against her in order to tip the scales the other way….
