Another state has now banned the so-called ‘gay conversion therapy” and it’s one with a Republican governor.
You won’t be surprised to learn that state is Massachusetts and that governor is Charlie Baker:
THE HILL – Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R) on Monday signed a bill banning gay conversion therapy for minors in the state.
The Massachusetts State House News Service reported that Baker signed the bill, which bars health care providers from conducting or promoting “sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts with a patient who is less than 18 years of age.”
The move makes Massachusetts the 16th state, in addition to Washington, D.C., to enact protections for LGBTQ youth regarding the practice, which has been widely denounced as harmful and medically-discredited.
The measure was overwhelmingly passed by the Massachusetts state House and Senate earlier this month, according to NBC Boston.
The Massachusetts Family Institute, a conservative group, has threatened to challenge the ban in court.
I hope they do challenge the ban. It’s a fascist move to satisfy the sodomy movement in this country and it’s absolutely unconstitutional, as it targets Christianity and violates the first amendment.
But of course Chelsea Clinton, who hopes to ride the gay train to high office one day, was overjoyed at the news:
The state’s ban was lauded by LGBTQ rights activists and supporters, including Chelsea Clinton, who called the practice “a form of child abuse” in a tweet.
“Good news!! Thank you Massachusetts,” Clinton tweeted. “Only 34 more states to go to ban conversion therapy, a form of child abuse.”
It’s not child abuse, that’s a ridiculous accusation. Parents have the right to protect the welfare of their children, especially in these matters. Just because it deals with sexuality doesn’t mean it’s off limits.
No, child abuse is allowing parents and psychotherapists to aid children – even young children – in becoming transgender and allowing minors to get hormone replacement therapies to aid their conversion.
The left is just evil in this country.
