(UPDATED BELOW)
Why does election season make people stupid?
FOX 4 TEXAS – Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller called Hillary Clinton a c–t in a quickly deleted tweet on Tuesday afternoon.
Miller was tweeting out the result of a poll that indicated Trump was pulling ahead in a state. He wrote: “TRUMP 44 C—t 43 Go Trump Go!”
The tweet was up for about ten minutes before being deleted.
It’s not the first time Miller has gotten into hot water with his social media posts.
An August 2015 Facebook post showed a mushroom cloud and appeared to suggest the United States use nuclear weapons on “the Muslim world.” He declined to apologize despite the uproar.
Here’s a screenshot:
And a more explicit one:
Now as I type this, Miller’s office is saying his account was hacked:

I hope so, but sometimes it seems too easy an excuse to cover up stupidity.
I guess we’ll see.
UPDATE:
So Miller’s campaign is now admitting they did it:
The campaign was retweeting information on Twitter today and inadvertently retweeted a tweet that they were not aware contained a derogatory

term. The tweet was taken down as soon as possible.

Commissioner Miller finds the term vulgar and offensive and apologizes to anyone who may have seen it.

So that wasn’t a retweet, by the way. If they mean they were copying and pasting info and didn’t see it, I get that. But the original tweet was indeed a tweet and not a retweet of someone else.
