This morning the Art of the Deal co-author Tony Schwartz was on with ABC News, telling them that he now regrets writing the book and that everyone should be concerned about Trump’s character.
When asked about whether it contained falsehoods, which he’s denied in the past, he now suggests it may indeed be full of falsehoods as much of it comes directly from Trump’s mouth while in reality things weren’t going all that well:

Where was this guy in the primary when it mattered? I’m not sure it would have made much difference, but that was the time to speak out about Trump, especially when Trump kept pushing his book as second only to the Bible.
Telling us all of this now doesn’t really do anything for Republicans who are about to officially nominate Trump. If anything, coming out now only helps Hillary, which I suspect may be his true goal anyway.
