It looks like Beto O’Rourke’s campaign could be in trouble.
According to this letter from the FEC, O’Rourke has not only accepted donations from people that exceed what they are allowed to donate, but his campaign has also accepted donations from foreign nationals outside of the US.

2/ Not uncommon for campaigns, like that of @BetoORourke, that are raising a ton of cash — D or R — to have some campaign $$ screw-ups. But the screw-ups must get dealt with nevertheless. pic.twitter.com/85FbKBotKX

O’Rourke can still clear these up and he has a month and a half to respond to these violations. So it’s not ‘doom’ for his campaign. He is raising a lot of money and mistakes happen. In fact he doesn’t have to respond until after he loses the election. So, I doubt it will be much of an issue.
But I’m sure if the shoe were on the other foot, the left would be going nuts if this were happening to Ted Cruz, making him sounds super evil for this and demanding that he answer for it to the media, who would no doubt be hounding him over it.
