CNN Brian Stelter’s job could be in trouble after a retweet last night that dealt with the settlement Nick Sandmann got from CNN. Below is the retweet, and thanks to Sister Toldjah for capturing it:
Clearly the insinuation from Stelter retweeting this is that Sandmann only got a ‘nuisance’ fee, meaning he didn’t get much at all.
Sandmann’s attorney, Lin Wood, saw this and tweeted that Stelter’s retweet may have just cost him his job and calls him a liar:
This retweet by @brianstelter may have cost him his job at @CNN. It is called breach of confidentiality agreement. Brian Stelter is a liar. I know how to deal with liars. pic.twitter.com/1VHxby9gim

Sandmann followed suit with a few tweets of his own:
Brian Stelter just can’t learn some basic lessons over at CNN. https://t.co/krqGE9a6Bn

I can’t decide if it’s worse to be Brian Stelter or believe Brian Stelter.
He was never in any court hearing or meeting I was. So why does he act like he knows anything? https://t.co/2QdUuH5bkZ

Stelter isn’t the only one. Lin Wood is also going after a journalist at the Washington Post suggesting something similar, that the Post wasn’t at fault and settled for only small amount:
This tweet by @MrDanZak may have cost him his job as a journalist at @washingtonpost It is called breach of confidentiality agreement. Dan Zak is a liar. I know how to deal with liars. pic.twitter.com/hIolaRx804
