In a blow to the referendum where the UK voted to leave the European Union, the courts there just ruled against Theresa May and the new government saying that the Parliament has to be the one to trigger Article 50 by a vote, which will then lead the country into two years of negotiations:

So if the Parliament chooses not to trigger Article 50, then the will of the people will be nullified and the UK will remain in the European Union. This would be a travesty and could send the country into massive upheaval.
It will go to the Supreme Court in a month there and if they uphold this ruling, then parliament will have it’s hands full dealing with the fallout should they decide to overrule the people.
I now fear every attempt will be made to block or delay triggering Article 50. They have no idea level of public anger they will provoke.
