This was caught by a police cruiser last night just after midnight pacific time. Everyone is saying it’s a meteor, and that’s probably what it is. But for a moment there it looks like something long and maybe silvery metallic.

Maybe it’s just the light refracting or reflecting or whatever. But it definitely looks really big and long at one point:
