I just can’t believe the media let’s him get away with this. It’s absolute BS and everyone with half a brain knows it:
All insurance was affected by Obamacare in one fundamental way. The passage of Obamacare set the standards for every single policy under the sun, no matter whether you get insurance from your employer, you buy it privately, or you buy it through the Obamacare system.
And each policy must cover certain medical procedures, whether you need them or not. It’s all about distribution of wealth. Insurers have to charge you more because they have to cover more. You might be charged for a female procedure even though you’re a male and you’ll never use it. Why? Because some female out there will need it and you’re the one paying for it.
But another reason Obamacare premiums are going up is because they are forced to cover everyone, no matter what your condition is or how bad it’s become. And you can sign up for Obamacare when you want to. Insurers are forced to cover so much more risk than they used to, that they have to charge more for premiums.
I know there are other reasons, but these are fundamental to the healthcare industry now and it’s ALL because of Obamacare.
