It was predictable that Republicans wouldn’t come together to pass the continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown. Just imagine what it’s going to be like when they vote on a new speaker next month. Oh wait, we’ve already seen that exhausting mess. Ugh.
Anyway, 38 Republicans voted against the Trump-backed bill so we are back to square one.
The vote was 174 – 235, with 2 Democrats voting with 172 Republicans.

Separate the bills and vote on them individually.
one vote on the clean CR
one vote on the debt limit
one vote on disaster relief
one vote on farm bailouts
